WINE BAR

In the heart of Brixen/ Bressanone in South Tyrol you will find our small but fine Vinus wine shop, one of the best Wine Bars in Brixen/ Bressanone. Here you will find a vast selection of South Tyrolean and Italian red and white wines, Prosecchi, Franciacorta, Champagner as well as selected wines from all over the world. I will be happy to help you choose and find your favourite wines. At our bar you also have the possibility to taste many of our excellent wines by the glass. We are also happy to take your order by phone or e-mail and send you your favourite wine directly to your home.

KITCHEN

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday at noon I spoil our guests with a refined traditional cuisine from South Tyrol and Italy. I place special emphasis on fresh, high-quality, regional ingredients and varied menus.

Please inform us about possible intolerances when you make your reservation, so that we can adapt our menu to your needs in the best possible way. On reservation and for groups of eight or more people, I will be happy to cook a daily menu tailored to your individual wishes.

GARDEN TERRACE

A wonderfully arranged garden with mediterranean flair is located in the backyard of our Vinus Wine bar & Kitchen in Brixen/ Bressanone in South Tyrol. Enjoy one of the many fine wines offered by the glass and treat yourself to a small snack such as prosciutto, Bresaola, various salumi (cold cuts), South Tyrolean Speck (bacon) from small producers or refined cheeses of high quality.

A candlelight dinner in our garden offers the ideal setting for pleasurable moments for passionate wine lovers and dedicated gourmets.

ABOUT US

Since 1998 we have been running the Vinus - Peters Weinbistro in the old town of Brixen/ Bressanone with much love and enthusiasm. With the opening of our Wine Bar & Kitchen our dream of a joint restaurant in which I could devote myself entirely to my great passion for wine and Paula to her passion for South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine, came true.

After years of experience in luxury hotels in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Paris and London, I returned to South Tyrol and managed the Michelin starred restaurant Pichler in Mühlbach/ Rio di Pusteria for ten years.  When we then took the decision to open our own Wine Bar, I incorporated all my experience into the concept for Vinus - Peters Weinbistro. Today, Vinus has become a popular meeting place for wine lovers from South Tyrol, Italy, Austria, Germany and many other parts of the world!

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Try it, then buy it.  This principle applies both to me and to my customers when choosing wines.
All wines are blind-tasted by me personally before they get on my shelfs. The price-performance ratio and aroma must always be in harmony.

To use the words of a famous Italian winemaker: "Wine must always be good, whether from the barrel or from the bottle, no matter what is written on the label, even if it is sometimes difficult!
